Carlo Pinciroli is an Assistant Professor at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, where he directs the NEST Lab. The focus of his research is designing innovative tools for swarm robotics. His recent work includes an immersive interface based on augmented and mixed reality to study how humans and robots can form cohesive teams. He is the author of ARGoS, a scalable simulator for large-scale multi-robot systems, and Buzz, a programming language for robot swarms. He earned his PhD in Applied Sciences from IRIDIA, Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). He also earned a Diplôme d'Études Approfondies from IRIDIA. He earned an MA in Computer Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano (Italy) and an MA in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago (USA).
